Community benefitEndow Maryland provides an incentive for Marylanders to give back to their local communities in a meaningful and lasting way. It promotes charitable giving in Maryland, for Maryland.
Here at the Community Foundation of Southern Maryland, Endow Maryland will help build endowments to help sustain nonprofits in Calvert, Charles and St. Mary’s Counties for generations to come—gifts to our endowed funds allow us to address Southern Maryland’s greatest needs. Your gifts to establish or add to an endowed fund may qualify for a 25% tax credit on your 2016 tax return. Tax credits will be offered to donors on a first-come, first-served basis. CFSOMD has $15,000 in tax credits available, equivalent to $60,000 donations.
PermanenceThe Endow Maryland tax credit applies only to gifts to permanent, endowed funds at qualified Maryland community foundations. These gifts will generate many times the initial value of the gift in benefit to the community.
Endow Maryland tax credit helps donors do more good for Southern Maryland forever.
How to ApplyHave your endowments or donations to endowments pledged by June 30 or our allotted credits will be open for any community foundation in Maryland to use. All donations must be accompanied by a signed Commitment of Contribution Form.
