2016 Philanthropy Day Luncheon

At this annual event, we recognize the region’s philanthropists by formally inducting them into our Philanthropy Hall of Fame. The philanthropists are selected because of their lifetime commitment to making Southern Maryland the best place to live and give. The focus of our 11th Annual Philanthropy Day Luncheon is business philanthropy in Southern Maryland.

We pleased to announce that the keynote speaker for the 2016 Philanthropy Day Luncheon will be Michael L. Middleton, Chairman of the Board, Community Bank of the Chesapeake.

Nominations were accepted through September 30, 2016 for businesses in Southern Maryland who have exhibited exemplary services to the community.This year’s inductees are defined by their excellence in philanthropy and we are honored to be able to recognize the following at our annual event: Eric Franklin of ERIMAX, Inc & Eric Franklin Entrepreneurial Acceleretor, Joseph “Bubby” Knott of Great Mills Trading Post and Keith Grasso of Island Music Company.
