Waldorf, Maryland, March 6, 2008: Please join the Community Foundation of Charles County for a check presentation of its first restricted fund, The Babe and Dick Chaney Memorial Fund, on Monday, March 10, 1 p.m. at their office – 3055 Old Washington Road, Waldorf, Maryland.
The Babe and Dick Chaney Memorial Fund established by the Chaney Foundation is to benefit the American Cancer Society in Charles County, Maryland. It will provide funds to The American Cancer Society to further its charitable mission, the eradication and cure of cancer, in Charles County, Maryland.
The Chaney Foundation, founded in 1987 was created to improve the health, education, environment and welfare of the surrounding communities through charitable donations. Its mission is to provide for a better quality of life for all citizens in the communities where Chaney Enterprises does business.
With the development of “The Babe and Dick Chaney Memorial Fund”, Francis H. Chaney II is strongly committed to helping folks in Charles County “deal with cancer and eventually beat cancer in Charles County.” He firmly believes, “the Community Foundation of Charles County is an organization individuals, families, private foundations, or corporations can trust to handle their charitable endowed funds.”
To contribute to The Babe and Dick Chaney Memorial Fund, The Community Foundation Operating Fund, or The Unrestricted Community Fund, checks may be made payable to The Community Foundation of Charles County and mailed to 3055 Old Washington Road, Waldorf, Maryland 20601. Simply insert the Fund’s name in the check’s memo line. All donations are tax deductible to the fullest extent of the law.
