Waldorf, Maryland, April 23, 2008 – The Community Foundation of Charles County is excited to announce its second Restricted Fund, the DC Area Outback Steakhouse Charity Fund. Cornell Barnett, the Joint Venture Partner of 13 Outback Steakhouse restaurants (Outback) in Maryland and Virginia established this Fund to raise money for Children’s National Medical Center (Children’s).
For the past five years, Cornell Barnett and their 13 partnering Outbacks’ have raised over $200K to directly support Children’s.
“We are thankful to have Children’s within in our Metropolitan region”, says Cornell Barnett. “ Their team works tirelessly to improve the lives of children in this area, across the country and around the world”. It was easy to select Children’s as the recipient of our fundraising efforts.”
