The Saint Nicholas Scholarship Fund is a non-endowed fund that offers scholarships to support students identified by the Donor with financial support to attend a college, university, technical or vocational school. The funds will be distributed annually or semi-annually, or as required and provided directly to the education institution
Background: The Scholarship is created to assist high school graduating students to continue their education, or training.
Purpose: To provide financial support to current high school students seeking advanced education. One or more scholarships in amounts determined by the Donor will be available yearly (as funding permits). Funds are intended to offset education-related costs. The scholarship is open to applicants pursuing education in any field.
Scholarships may be used at the post-secondary school, including training and vocational programs, of the student’s choice. Each scholarship will be paid directly to the college or training facility of the student’s choice once they have shown evidence of acceptance and enrollment.
Eligibility: High school graduate or graduating senior from any educational institution (public or private high school, home school, or GED certificate).
Selection Criteria: Academic achievement – must be at least a high school graduate or graduating senior. Preference will be given to students that are members of St John Francis Regis Parish in Hollywood, MD
